24h momentum
Current rolling 24-hour price movement, interpreted through controlled movement conditions.
Crypto market ranking methodology
CryptoSwede Market Radar organizes a noisy market into a disciplined attention ranking. Swede Score measures current market prominence using rolling 24-hour momentum, liquidity, range quality, condition confluence, and overextension.
It is designed to answer: Which eligible markets deserve closer inspection first? It does not claim to know what price will do next. Exact weights and thresholds remain proprietary.
Current conditions
Swede Score is a structured 0–100 attention-ranking score. A higher score means a stronger current ranking according to the model.
Current rolling 24-hour price movement, interpreted through controlled movement conditions.
Rolling 24-hour quote volume provides a consistent liquidity context across eligible markets.
Rolling 24-hour high-low range helps distinguish controlled activity from unusually quiet or extreme conditions.
The ranking recognizes when positive movement, usable liquidity, and controlled range conditions occur together.
Unusually extended movement or range conditions can reduce ranking strength.
Clear boundaries
A higher score does not mean a larger future price move.
The score does not reliably predict whether price will rise or fall.
It does not provide personalized trade instructions or financial guidance.
Rank, conditions, and market regimes can change quickly.
Two separate concepts
A market can deserve attention and still carry warning conditions.
Swede Score ranks current market conditions and helps prioritize research. Risk Shield is a separate caution layer that highlights conditions associated with greater instability, overextension, adverse movement, low liquidity, or other warning flags.
Risk Shield provides context; it does not predict a loss. Historical validation found materially greater adverse movement among High Risk observations than among calmer categories.
Automated Market Notes are rule-based summaries derived from each stored snapshot. They are not generated by an AI or LLM.
Historical validation
The initial validation measured whether current ranking leadership persisted four hours later.
| Starting group | Observations | 4h result |
|---|---|---|
| Starting Top 5 | 10,985 | 95.67% remained Top 20 |
| Starting Top 10 | 21,958 | 93.19% remained Top 20 |
| Starting Swede Score ≥80 | 5,721 | 97.89% remained Top 20 |
| Starting Swede Score ≥90 | 3,348 | 97.76% remained Top 20 |
These statistics measure ranking persistence, not profitable trades. They do not show that price rose after a high ranking.
An honest result
Higher Swede Scores were associated with calmer, more persistent leadership—not larger future price moves.
The initial validation did not show meaningful directional forecasting. Lower-scoring, extreme markets sometimes moved much more, but also showed substantially larger adverse excursions and less stable conditions. That distinction is why CryptoSwede positions the score as an attention ranking rather than a breakout predictor.
Validation process
Eligible exchange markets are recorded at repeated points in time.
Later snapshots are compared with starting observations across defined horizons.
Analysis measures whether leading markets remain in leading rank groups.
Absolute movement, signed movement, and favorable and adverse excursions test what the ranking does—and does not—support.
Limitations
Ongoing research
CryptoSwede continues to test and validate additional market-activity research methods. Public capability claims will remain limited to what the current product supports.
